Total shame - went & had dinner here with 9 of my business partners. Overall, food was great & experience was something that left us with a great taste in our mouth. Days later, being back in Vail - we stopped by after dinner elsewhere to grab a cocktail at the bar, while 2 people in our party had to use the restroom. The man (who I believe was one of the owners/executives, but don't quote me) at the front was beyond rude when asked where the restrooms were, and then continued by following us all back through the restaurant, making a female guest of ours pretty uncomfortable. The rest of our party was told they couldn't stand at the bar & grab drinks, and were told by this man if they didn't have a seat to leave because standing just "Isn't allowed." Seems like the first time we were treated well because we had a large dinner bill? Way better places to go in Vail, don't waste your money.
Food and rinks were delicious and the restaurant was nice. However, once it got busy our server didn’t tend to come as often and it took three different people to get one question answered. If you are coming to bail though, definitely stop by and get drinks. The chef is Peruvian and all the food we had was delicious.
The food is mediocre at best. I have ordered Elk stake "medium", it arrived medium rare, but the outside was burnt to the point of hard crust.
What I found interesting is that restaurant not only suggests tipping in 21%-30% range, but asks you to tip the State of Colorado too, as the suggested tips are calculated on after tax amount. I wonder if they actually send Colorado its portion of the tip? I think they should, as the surrounding beautiful village of Vail is the best part of the restaurant.
We booked 5 reservations for 5 nights. I had the lowest expectations for Fall line and I could not have been more wrong. WOW. I’ve been blessed to eat at Michelin star restaurants all over the world and I would put my food and experience at Fall Line up to any where. Patrick our server was attentive, on time, and intuitive to our need and food was even better than the “exceed expectations” atmosphere. Highly recommend and will be back!
What a lovely lovely place for an easy, breezy lunch in Vail. Margo was our bartender and server and so wonderfully hospitable. We enjoyed all the food and drink here. The truffle Parmesan fries hit the spot. Power greens salad was super fresh, lightly dressed, and helped us meet our veggie quota for the day. The true winner was the absolutely tender and delicious lamb gyro. The meat was so juicy and cooked perfectly, served on perfectly toasted pita bread with a mountain of shaved lettuce, red onion and feta. Will be back soon, especially for that gyro!
Came here last year and had an incredible dinner with our company. Apps were great, entrees ok (real good for Colorado) and service was excellent. Popped in here last night, trying to order a few drinks after dinner at mountain standard, at the bar, which had open seats. Bartender took our orders and began making drinks, the manager and/or owner came up and politely asked us to leave because he didn’t like people standing by the bar. Laugh out loud funny. People seated at the bar looked just as bewildered as us. Bartender was embarrassed. I feel bad for the staff.
Our experience here was outstanding. Chloe, our server was amazing and the customer service was second to none.
I had the rose quartz cocktail, and the hungry Pine cocktails and they both were delicious!
The gnocchi and pork chop entrées rounded it out quite nicely They definitely earned all five of these stars.
We had a nice dinner here. Our server was excellent and very personable.
I do NOT recommend the shrimp tempura. Plain, uninspiring. The Bread Basket is a joke for $13. It was 3 small rolls and butter.
I DO recommend the PEI Mussels - super flavorful, large portion and comes with thin crusty bread. It was excellent!
